This temporary exhibition was commissioned by the marketing department of Olympia and York. It was constructed in the atrium at the City of London offices of Merrill Lynch.
Its purpose was to explain the benefits of the company’s prospective move from their Ropemaker Place offices to Canary Wharf. To maximise its impact the construction took place, in secret, over an Easter weekend so that when staff arrived back from their break they would be intrigued to find out what it was all about.
Because of the delicate nature of the impending move, the story had to be delivered in a concise manner. Therefore the content was enclosed and the exhibition could only be entered from one point of access.
With only seven days to design, construct and install, the graphics the text and pictorials were based on a 600 x 600mm module to speed up print and installation times. The centrepiece of the exhibition was a three metre high model of the central tower.
